Young Enterprise

Following the Leitch Review, one of the Government's key priorities over the last few years has been skills, and highlighting the importance of young people having practical business skills for their future careers and entering the 21st work force.
Young Enterprise helps to offer schools and their students this practical experience.
Promoting the issue of skills and the link between education and business is an important focus area, and one which all businesses should be supporting, to ensure that there are the necessary skills coming through to provide the next generation of business minds.
The Corixa team works on a pro bono basis with Young Enterprise South West to promote the organisation’s work across the region. The main objective for us is to gain more support from businesses to work with the schools taking part in the Young Enterprise programme. Our work is focused on regional media relations and raising the profile of YESW, which is implemented through a mixture of news releases and case studies about the various schools and teams who take part in the national competition, throughout the year. Corixa recently supported the South West regional final awards ceremony, sponsored by local companies, and ensured coverage was achieved about the ceremony and the winning team.
